Principal Portfolio Manager, Hip - Remote

Overview

As the Principal Portfolio Manager for the Hip business within Joint Replacement, you will own and shape the long-term strategy of our enabling technology portfolio, guiding innovation from early concepts through lifecycle optimization.

In Short

• Own and define the long-term portfolio strategy for Hip enabling technologies.
• Serve as the upstream marketing lead for the Hip portfolio.
• Lead the NPDP process end-to-end.
• Translate voice of customer, surgeon insights, and patient needs into clear value propositions.
• Analyze market dynamics and identify growth opportunities.
• Communicate and influence long-term Hip portfolio strategy across senior leadership.
• Partner with R&D to anticipate future clinical and technological needs.
• Establish best practices for portfolio strategy and business performance analysis.
• Drive portfolio-level decision making and lifecycle planning.
• Work remotely with expected domestic and international travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in upstream marketing or portfolio management.
• Proven experience defining and leading portfolio strategy.
• Strong experience partnering with R&D and clinical teams.
• Experience supporting or leading product development within orthopedic solutions.
• Advanced experience in upstream marketing preferred.
• Prior exposure to R&D or NPDP processes.
• Experience working directly with surgeon customers.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
