Forward Deployed Machine Learning Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Forward Deployed ML Engineer, with an interest in solving difficult real-world problems to join our Technical Services team.

In Short

• Conduct foundational research to design and implement AI resource modeling techniques for mining operations.
• Apply and refine existing architecture to train resource models for specific mines.
• Communicate model quality and performance to non-ML stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve mining operations.
• Track performance of deployed models and suggest improvements.
• Adapt deep learning models to specific mines.
• Develop and maintain high-quality machine learning code.
• Engage with clients through mine visits.
• Grow into a senior engineer role over time.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry machine learning experience.
• Proficiency in custom neural network architectures in Python (Pytorch).
• Hands-on experience with various neural network types.
• Strong foundational knowledge of deep learning.
• Ability to work autonomously and solve complex problems.
• Strong technical communication skills.
