Technical Motion Designer - Remote

Overview

As a Technical Motion Designer (TMD) at Storyteq, you’ll work at the intersection of design, technology, and automation. Your job is to take creative assets from global brands and transform them into scalable, dynamic templates that can be rolled out across markets, formats, and languages. This role combines motion design expertise with technical problem-solving.

In Short

• Template Development: Build dynamic After Effects projects and automation-ready creative templates.
• Technical Problem Solving: Use scripting, expressions, and data-driven setups (e.g. CSV/JSON) to create scalable solutions.
• Asset Preparation: Adapt and optimize creative files from Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma for use in automation workflows.
• Quality Control: Test thoroughly, debug render issues, and ensure templates are reliable and well-organized.
• Documentation & Handover: Keep files structured, write clear documentation, and make handovers easy for colleagues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Account Managers, and other designers to deliver on client needs.
• Client Support: Occasionally explain workflows, requirements, and logic to clients in a clear and accessible way.
• Continuous Learning: Stay curious, learn new tools, and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements

• Proficiency in After Effects and the Adobe Suite.
• Experience with scripting and data-driven workflows.
