Backend Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are assisting our client, an early childhood education franchisor with over 650 schools across the United States, in their search for a Backend Software Engineer to design and build scalable APIs and backend services.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using .NET technologies.
• Build integrations with internal and external systems using Azure Integration Services.
• Optimize backend processes including database queries and data pipelines.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows.
• Perform unit and integration testing to ensure service reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend and integration issues.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and QA teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Document APIs and integration workflows.
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices are followed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing backend services with .NET.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Solid SQL Server experience.
• Familiarity with asynchronous and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and security.
• Experience with DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with SSO solutions like Okta or Auth0.
• Proficiency with source control systems.
• Solid understanding of OOP and software design patterns.
