Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant position is responsible for performing all Accounting and Payroll processes to ensure the efficient operation of the department through exceptional execution of tasks, research, troubleshooting, and by providing excellent service and support to employees.

In Short

• Maintain exceptional internal and external member satisfaction by completing Accounts Payable, Corporate Credit Card processing, Expense Reimbursements, and other recurring processes.
• Manage multi-state payroll reporting and processing.
• Complete and/or review daily, monthly and/or quarterly GL reconciliations.
• Provide leadership and training to Accountant I and II positions.
• Support departmental initiatives and projects.
• Implement efficiencies within payroll and benefits processing.
• Serve as the point of contact for employee questions related to payroll.
• Ensure proper accounting controls by completing daily processes timely and accurately.
• Assist leadership and payroll with support functions.
• Promote STCU’s culture and maintain relationships with employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in an accounting or finance position.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Proficient with 10-key calculator.
• Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
• Reliable transportation for occasional travel.
