Investment Associate – Africa Ventures Fund - Remote

Overview

We are launching a pioneering Starknet-focused investment fund dedicated to identify, back, and accelerate the most promising blockchain entrepreneurs on the continent. Led by African entrepreneur and investor Kheireddine Kamal, this ambitious initiative is dedicated exclusively to African Web3 founders in a pre-seed/seed stage, tackling local inefficiencies in different regions.

In Short

• Proactively source high-potential Web3 startups across Africa.
• Build and maintain relationships with founders and ecosystem partners.
• Manage inbound deal flow and conduct initial evaluations of potential investments.
• Lead the technical and business due diligence process.
• Develop and maintain financial models, including tokenomics analysis.
• Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
• Track the performance of portfolio companies.
• Assist with fundraising strategy and go-to-market plans.
• Organize and participate in key industry events.
• Represent the fund at conferences and ecosystem gatherings.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-4+ years of experience in venture capital or a startup with a technical/analyst role.
• Strong understanding of blockchain, Layer 2 solutions, and Web3 infrastructures.
• Experience in technical due diligence, including smart contract/code analysis.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
