Overview

At Stage 1 Financial, we serve innovative companies ranging from well-funded startups to high-growth private equity-backed companies, helping them implement new processes, acquire and sell businesses, or redefine their accounting and finance functions.

In Short

• Partner with team members to meet client stakeholder needs
• Perform all accounting functions including budget, forecast, and month-end close
• Recommend and implement process improvements
• Demonstrate Executive Function capability
• Assist in the creation of C-Suite slide decks
• Utilize MS Excel and various software for accounting duties
• Travel to client sites in the Tampa Bay Area on occasion

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience with high growth, startup CPG companies
• 20 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles
• Leadership experience in a small or midsize company
• Public or private accounting/consulting experience preferred
• Advanced Excel and modeling skills
• Strong accounting and finance knowledge
• Private equity and/or mergers and acquisitions experience preferred
• MBA or dual degree in finance, CPA, CMA preferred
• Ability to learn new software quickly
