Senior Backend Engineer - Ruby - Remote

Overview

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the core services that power the platform’s marketing capabilities for thousands of ecommerce merchants.

• Develop and maintain backend features and services using Ruby on Rails.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Design business logic and backend services that scale with a growing user base.
• Ensure high standards of data integrity, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers on contract testing and API structure.
• Contribute to backend architecture decisions and performance optimization.
• Prototype new ideas and write comprehensive test plans.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Deep experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong grasp of REST and/or GraphQL API design principles.
• Familiarity with integrating APIs into frontend applications.
• Solid understanding of database modeling and data lifecycle.
