Senior Backend Engineer - Remote

Overview

Nas.io is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to support and scale our backend systems for a fast-growing creator platform. This is a full-time remote role open to candidates in Singapore. The ideal candidate thrives in an asynchronous work environment, can work independently, and is passionate about improving product reliability, system architecture, and performance. You will play a key role in ensuring our platform remains robust and responsive around the clock.

In Short

• Collaborate with product managers to design and implement new backend features.
• Continuously improve the architecture of core systems.
• Enhance and maintain infrastructure using AWS cloud services.
• Establish and fine-tune monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Serve as the point person for troubleshooting during off-peak hours.
• Uphold high code quality standards through reviews and testing.
• Work autonomously in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior experience at a startup is a bonus.

Requirements

• 4+ years in backend development or systems engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience in Node.js or Python.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL/SQL databases.
• Familiarity with AWS services like EC2, S3, and Lambda.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
• Proven ability to work autonomously.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
