Senior Data Engineer I - Remote

Overview

As a member of the Data Engineering team, you will create tools, pipelines, and systems that enable the business to reliably operate at scale, gain mission-critical insight, and power engaging data products for our customers.

In Short

• Own and operate the structure of our Data Warehouse.
• Build and maintain self-service tools and extensible datasets.
• Identify, scope, and execute projects addressing scalability issues.
• Ensure the quality of our data by writing tests and building observability.
• Participate in a business hours-only on-call rotation.
• Create and cultivate a culture of data literacy and experimentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building scalable and durable software.
• Demonstrated mastery of Python, SQL, and Unix fundamentals.
• Operational excellence in maintaining Data Warehouses.
• Familiarity with data transformation frameworks.
• Experience with business intelligence platforms.
• Strong debugging skills with distributed systems.
• Experience building supporting Cloud Infrastructure.
• Clear communication in a distributed environment.
