Medical Coding Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Medical Coding Specialist - Outpatient/Inpatient will be responsible for an advanced coding position that requires review of medical record documentation and accurately assigns ICD-10-CM, ICD-10/PCS, CPT IV codes, based on payor classification and abstracts specific data elements for each case in compliance with federal regulations.

• Permanent work-from-home position.
• Monday to Friday - 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM Manila time.
• Review and interpret medical record documentation.
• Assign correct ICD-10-CM, ICD-10/PCS, and CPT IV codes.
• Abstract specific data elements in accordance with federal regulations.
• Maintain adherence to coding guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers regarding coding issues.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of coded data.
• Update and maintain coding knowledge through education.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Current Coding Certification (CCS, CIC, CPC, or COC).
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10/PCS, and CPT IV coding.
• Experience in multi-specialty coding.
• Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in medical software.
• Excellent communication skills.
