Data Engineer 2 - Remote

Overview

As a Data Engineer 2 at Sophos, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting data integrations into the data warehouse, ensuring accurate data delivery and building new ETL components.

In Short

• Deliver and support data integrations from various sources.
• Build new ETL components and modify existing software.
• Design and implement ETL processes.
• Develop Matillion ETL scripts and orchestrations.
• Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Engage with Business Analysts and Technical Architects.
• Participate in peer code reviews.
• Provide coaching to junior team members.
• Support testing and UAT processes.
• Participate in maintenance and performance tuning of ETL.

Requirements

• 2+ years of IT experience in ETL.
• Knowledge of ETL design methodologies.
• Experience with at least one ETL tool (e.g., Matillion).
• Proficient with SQL and stored procedures.
• Experience with warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake).
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Amenable to work remotely and on EMEA shift.
