Application Security Test Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Application Security Test Engineer to join our security team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and secure code reviews of our thick client applications across various platforms (Windows, Linux desktop applications and mobile clients).

In Short

• Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments on various client applications.
• Identify and analyze cryptographic algorithms and security misconfigurations.
• Perform manual penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.
• Utilize tools for static and dynamic security analysis.
• Review source code for security flaws and improvements.
• Collaborate with development teams for secure coding practices.
• Conduct penetration testing on Firewall hardware and VPN client applications.
• Document and report findings with remediation steps.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing security assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Proven experience with Windows, Linux desktop applications, and mobile clients.
• Proficiency in tools like Burp Suite, Wireshark, IDA Pro, Ghidra.
• Strong understanding of VPN technologies and network security principles.
• Experience with Security Testing methodologies and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, or similar are a plus.
