Staff Data Scientist - Remote

Overview

As a Staff Data Scientist at SmarterDx, you will play a pivotal role in training cutting-edge machine learning models and ensuring their strategic integration into our Smarter Revenue Platform. Your work will focus on maximizing the business impact of deployed models by optimizing business logic, refining decision frameworks, and accelerating the end-to-end process of model development and deployment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our models’ clinical intelligence and delight our customers. In Short

• Lead the development and refinement of modeling approaches in collaboration with the Machine Learning Research team.
• Drive rapid experimentation cycles and identify high-impact modeling opportunities.
• Contribute to shared modeling infrastructure and build tools to standardize workflows.
• Partner with Engineering, Analytics, and Product teams to integrate ML models.
• Identify new product opportunities for ML.
• Mentor other Data Scientists and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science or machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch.
• Experience deploying ML models into production.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and MLOps best practices.
• Expertise in NLP and healthcare data.
• Ability to communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
