SDET Automation Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an automation test engineer to define test strategy, develop test automation, perform manual and automated testing, and ensure the overall quality of a SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong development skills, a passion for testing, and experience with SaaS applications to deliver a seamless and high-quality user experience.

In Short

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for SaaS application, focusing on functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end testing coverage.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure requirements are met and high-quality software is delivered on time.
• Design and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for new features, product releases, and bug fixes.
• Conduct both manual and automated testing to identify defects early in the development cycle.
• Perform continuous integration testing and ensure code quality.
• Analyze test results, track defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Contribute to improving test processes and methodologies to ensure the highest levels of software quality.
• Mentor junior testers and assist in training other team members on best practices for test automation and quality assurance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation, ideally with SaaS platforms or cloud-based applications.
• Solid experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium or similar tools.
• Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) and understanding of microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration tools and version control systems.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiar with cloud platforms (Azure, others) and SaaS-based product architectures.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues effectively.
• Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate test results, issues, and improvements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering quality results with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
