Pharmacy Technician Patient Outreach Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Pharmacy Technician Patient Outreach Coordinator is responsible for proactively growing the specialty pharmacy patient population by enrolling eligible patients and educating them about the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.

In Short

• Make outbound calls to eligible patients.
• Educate patients on pharmacy services.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Access patient EMR to familiarize with their conditions.
• Identify medications that require special handling.
• Identify necessary supplies for medications.
• Opportunity to become nationally certified within 6 months.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Licensed North Carolina pharmacy technicians preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal communication and phone skills.
• Ability to build rapport with patients over the phone.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Prior customer service or outbound call experience.
