Senior Solutions Architect - Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) - Remote

Overview

The Sr. Solutions Architect - SDDC will assist SHI's customers in the post-sales implementation of data center infrastructure automation initiatives as clients move towards modern data center solutions and private clouds.

In Short

• Perform low-level design and implementation work including architecture analysis and design.
• Responsible for the design and implementation of VMware VCF and automation technologies.
• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects.
• Collaborate with sales and presales teams to identify professional services opportunities.
• Provide configuration and upgrade services within customer environments.
• Mentor and guide other architects and consultants.
• Participate in pre-sales conversations and service engagement planning.
• Stay updated on industry trends and offerings.
• Provide technical leadership in pre-sales and post-sales capacities.
• Demonstrate long-term thinking related to infrastructure practice.

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture or infrastructure.
• 10+ years of experience with VMware and associated products.
• 8 - 10+ years of technical experience with increasing responsibility.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Thorough understanding of virtualization technologies.
