Senior Medical Device Auditor - Remote

Overview

As the Senior Medical Device Auditor, you will perform third-party audits per SGS Certification procedures and the requirements for ISO 13485, MDSAP, MDD and MDR standards. You will be responsible for making relevant decisions concerning the audit process and to inform SGS SSC as required to resolve issues outside the audit process.

In Short

• Perform audits for clients’ medical devices quality systems.
• Control and manage teams of auditors during audits.
• Decide upon evidence gained during audits for certification recommendations.
• Assist in training of other auditors.
• Maintain all audit credentials.
• Travel up to 80% of the time for audits.
• Work remotely from anywhere in Canada.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in witness audits by SGS or accreditation bodies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience auditing for ISO 13485 and related standards.
• Possess Auditor Credentials for ISO 13485, MDSAP, MDD, and MDR.
• Experience with ophthalmology medical devices is required.
• Strong background in technical applications of the standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership abilities to lead teams effectively.
• Proactive attitude and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite.
