Junior Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Junior Staff Accountant for Series, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and general accounting tasks. You have a strong understanding of accounting principles, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

In Short

• Prepare and send invoices to clients/customers in a timely manner.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Maintain general ledger entries and ensure proper accounting treatment for various transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Support preparation of tax filings, audits, and other compliance requirements.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting support to management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress).
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
