Sentara is hiring a Transfer Center Coordinator (RN) for the Fort Norfolk Transfer Center, focusing on patient flow and transfer coordination.

In Short

  • Position: Transfer Center Coordinator (RN)
  • Location: Fort Norfolk Transfer Center, Norfolk, VA
  • Work Type: FLEXI/PRN, 6 hours per week
  • Minimum Requirements: Registered Nurse, BSN preferred
  • Experience: 5 years acute care, ICU, ED or Transfer Center preferred
  • Role: Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate patient transfers
  • Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams for patient placement
  • Skills: Clinical knowledge and critical thinking in fast-paced environments

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with BSN preferred
  • 5 years of acute care experience
  • Previous ICU, ED or Transfer Center experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong clinical knowledge

  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Positive attitude towards professional contacts
