Sentara is hiring a Radiation Therapist at Norfolk General Hospital, in Norfolk Virginia. The role involves providing radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards.

In Short

• Provide radiation therapy to patients.
• Deliver external beam radiotherapy including 3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT.
• Deliver brachytherapy treatment.
• Perform patient simulations and prepare equipment.
• Review patient records for accuracy.
• Act as a liaison with physicians and supportive care personnel.
• Maintain patient records, reports, and files.
• New graduates will start as Radiation Therapist I for the first 2 years.
• Certification and licensure required.
• Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Must pass boards within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• No experience required.
