Overview

Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Patient Dining Associate in the Food Services Department. This is a full-time, rotating shift position located in Norfolk, VA.

In Short

• Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units.
• Communicates patient food issues and needs to Food & Nutrition Services.
• Assists dietitian with monitoring patients on special diets.
• Records food intake for patients on intake analysis.
• React accurately to ensure efficient timing of services.
• Familiar with dietary restrictions on modified diets.
• Ensures optimal patient care and satisfaction.
• Experience in lieu of degree/diploma is accepted.
• Requires a Certified Food Service Handler's Card.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Certification in food handling as required by local Health Department.
• Experience in food service or related fields.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends.
