Supplier Quality Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Supplier Network Quality Engineer, you will work and support Surface Treatment initiatives, applying your knowledge of paint and surface treatment principles to certify suppliers to company standards.

In Short

• Work with Surface Treatment initiatives.
• Support supply chain expertise to buyers and suppliers.
• Participate in sourcing and supplier selection.
• Engage in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
• Audit and develop Surface Treatment Suppliers.
• Communicate performance indicators to suppliers.
• Track product or process related deviations.
• Review quality rejections in manufacturing.
• Travel to suppliers within the US and occasionally Mexico or Canada.
• 5-8 years of relevant supplier quality experience required.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of relevant supplier quality experience from automotive industry.
• Knowledge of paint and surface treatment, chemical processing.
• Preferred degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient with Quality tools like PPAP, APQP.
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Knowledge of automotive quality standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel 50-70% of the time.
