CAD Design Coordinator (Automotive Interior Components) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced CAD Design Coordinator to facilitate seamless communication between an OEM customer (Czech-speaking) and our multinational internal design team (English-speaking). The role involves overseeing the development of CAD data for vehicle interior components, ensuring smooth project execution, and maintaining compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.

In Short

• Act as the primary communication bridge between the OEM customer (Czech-speaking) and the internal design team (English-speaking).
• Coordinate and manage CAD data development for vehicle interior components.
• Ensure design consistency, feasibility, and adherence to customer specifications and automotive industry standards.
• Oversee technical reviews, ensuring design intent is effectively communicated and implemented.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers) to resolve technical challenges.
• Utilize CATIA for 3D modeling and design validation.
• Manage and track design data using VW Group systems such as AVON, Cava, Connect, and KVS (highly advantageous).
• Support the design release process and ensure project deadlines are met.
• Identify potential risks and propose solutions to maintain project efficiency.

Requirements

• Native Czech or Slovak speaker (mandatory).
• Fluent English (B2) for internal team communication.
• Proven experience in coordinating technical development in an automotive environment.
• Knowledge of CATIA for CAD design.
• Experience with VW Group systems (AVON, Cava, Connect, KVS) is a strong advantage.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into design actions.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for managing collaboration between different stakeholders.
