Strategic Procurement Manager (Wind) - Remote

Overview

As Scout’s Strategic Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in the procurement of one of the fastest-growing technologies in the power sector: utility-scale wind power. Your ability to draw on your knowledge of a combination of the commercial, technical, legal and financial aspects of renewables will enable our team to make better informed decisions. You will develop and execute negotiating strategies, lead deals, and serve as Scout’s representative to our vendors and partners.

• Collaborate closely with various teams to ensure focus on the right technologies and vendors.
• Build and maintain key vendor and contractor relationships.
• Execute and manage sourcing cycle activities for wind turbine systems.
• Develop market intelligence dashboards for wind turbine generators.
• Drive execution of negotiating strategies for supply and services.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical, business, or finance fields.
• 5+ years of procurement experience in renewable energy.
• Category management experience with technical and commercial complexity.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in complex contract negotiations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications.
