Installation and Service Technician - Remote

Overview

The Safe Fleet Installation and service technician will be responsible to install, setup, commission and troubleshoot issues with Safe Fleet equipment or other PTLW mobile products.

In Short

• Travel to various customer sites in the US and Canada for installations.
• Setup and verify new units ensuring they come online.
• Troubleshoot system and components, effect repairs and/or replacements.
• Provide customer and technician training.
• Must have MECP Basic Installation Technician Certification or equivalent.
• Minimum one-year experience in mobile installations preferred.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems required.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
• Ability to work non-standard shifts and weekends if necessary.
• Must possess skills to safely use hand tools.

Requirements

• MECP Basic Installation Technician Certification or Electronics Engineering Technician Diploma.
• Experience with class 7 and class 8 vehicles preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Computer and basic networking skills.
• Education or experience in installing access points.
• Ability to install, program, and demonstrate mobile surveillance products.
• Willingness to travel throughout the US and Canada.
• Ability to complete necessary documentation.
• Skills to safely use a variety of hand tools.
