Overview

The IT Support Specialist (ITSS) will provide positive communication with internal users on how to best interact with and utilize technology, offering support via various channels, including remote assistance.

In Short

  • Provide IT support through face-to-face, chat, email, and phone.
  • Collaborate with IT System Administrator to resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Provision cell phones, workstations, and end-user accounts.
  • Track and maintain IT equipment inventory.
  • Manage company anti-virus/firewall systems and software updates.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for projects and infrastructure.
  • Provide new employee orientation on IT equipment and policies.
  • Respond to and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Configure and deploy desktop and laptop computers.
  • Track and manage remote user equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Five years of IT experience in a business or government environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite software programs.
  • Field experience in installing and troubleshooting devices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Ubiquiti network equipment and VMware preferred.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Understanding of food manufacturing and safety concepts.
