Design Lead - Remote

Overview

RYZ Labs is seeking a Lead Designer to work with one of our partners; a start up dedicated to improve the healthcare experience for patients by providing personalized assistance through healthcare advocates.

In Short

• Design the patient, advocate, and partner-facing experiences.
• Own user journeys: onboarding, retention, dashboards, and outcomes reporting.
• Create the company's design system from scratch.
• Ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability across apps.
• Conduct user research and testing.
• Collaborate with founders, engineering, and clinical ops.
• Influence roadmap decisions.
• Bring deep empathy for patients and providers.
• Thrive in ambiguity and create clarity.
• Showcase systems thinking and craft in portfolio.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of product design experience, ideally Staff/Principal-level.
• Experience designing 0→1 products at startups.
• Ability to move fluidly between UX strategy and pixel-level craft.
• Comfortable working alongside engineers and PMs.
• Portfolio showing systems thinking and craft.
• Empathy for patients navigating complex systems.
