Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

Rocket Lawyer is seeking an experienced, passionate data engineer for the data engineering team at Rocket Lawyer. In this role, you will build highly reliable, trust worthy data lakehouse that is leveraged across the organization to derive insights and make real-time decisions.

In Short

• Design and develop data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow or Snowflake.
• Translate HiveQL queries to Snowflake SQL.
• Utilize dbt to model and transform data within Snowflake.
• Configure and manage data pipelines in GCP.
• Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines.
• Develop and implement automated testing procedures.
• Document the migration process and provide ongoing support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake.
• Strong expertise in HiveQL and SQL.
• Strong programming knowledge in Python.
• Experience with Apache Spark (a plus).
• Proficiency in dbt preferred.
• Experience with GCP and its data storage services.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Snowflake certification preferred.
