Senior Manager, Accounting - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Manager, Accounting, reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting and Tax, you will be a key member of the finance team and responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close and reporting. You will lead the month end close process and be responsible for journal entry review, account reconciliations, and a timely close. Additionally, you will perform balance sheet account analysis, lead month end internal reporting, support external audits, and handle management request/special projects. This role requires attention to detail, deep accounting expertise, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

In Short

• Lead the month-end accounting close process.
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Understand internal financial reporting including adjusted EBITDA and KPIs.
• Become a subject matter expert on general ledger structure.
• Oversee daily cash account transactions.
• Manage cash application and fixed asset accounting processes.
• Support external audits by providing accurate information.
• Develop and enhance accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to accounting team members.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing a team.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing and improving accounting processes.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work standard business hours (8am - 5pm) East Coast or Central Time.
