Clinical Pharmacist - Remote Services

Overview

The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing remote pharmacy services, including the interpretation, evaluation, preparation, and dispensing of medications, while collaborating with multidisciplinary care providers to ensure safe and effective medication use.

• Reports to the Pharmacist-in-Charge and works under the supervision of a Pharmacy Supervisor.
• Responsible for remote interpretation and dispensing of medication orders.
• Collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate medication therapy.
• Reviews and approves medication orders in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Provides drug information and consultation to healthcare professionals.
• Ensures compliance with medication management initiatives.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
• Maintains professional competence through ongoing education.
• Requires current licensure as a pharmacist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
• Flexible work arrangements are available.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a pharmacist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
• Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification within 18 months of hire.
• PGY-1 Residency or 3 years clinical experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of pharmacy information systems and technology.
• Experience with MS Office applications.
• Ability to establish a secure remote workspace.
• Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Travel to Brown Health affiliates may be required.
