Overview

The Infrastructure org supports the systems, services, and tooling at the foundation of Coinbase’s mission to increase economic freedom. We enable Coinbase engineers to design, develop, and operate services quickly, safely, securely and reliably. Infrastructure teams build and maintain the platforms critical to the existence of Coinbase.

In Short

• Design, build, and operate our edge and internal routing systems.
• Implement customer-focused abstractions for routing capabilities.
• Responsible for performance, automation, and standardization of routing.
• Contribute to technical decisions and collaborate with teams.
• Communicate to gather requirements and understand gaps.
• Produce documentation and diagrams for communication.
• Manage and assist in resolving technical problems.
• Support and maintain current infrastructure offerings.
• Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• Keep up to date with current developments and best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in a modern tech stack, like Go and gRPC.
• Understanding of low-level networking concepts.
• Experience with public cloud providers and cloud networking.
• Experience operating high-traffic infrastructure.
• Knowledge of high-quality code and software engineering processes.

• Ability to set priorities and balance deadlines.

• Target annual salary range: $180,625 - $212,500.
