Backend Engineer - Early Career - Remote

Overview

Coinbase is seeking aspiring early career backend engineers to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud.

In Short

• You will write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers
• You will execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end to help Coinbase fulfill its mission to increase economic freedom in the world
• You will independently take ownership over the completion and quality of your tasks and projects
• You will be collaborating with other engineers, product managers and designers at Coinbase

Requirements

• You have graduated university with <2 year of industry experience + internship experience
• You write high quality, well tested code
• You have experience executing technical tasks and projects end-to-end
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English
• You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together
• You build resilient and scalable micro-services
• You’re excited about tackling complex problems and getting things done
