Overview

As a Staff Frontend Engineer in the Technical Program Management Office at Reddit, you will focus on creating a seamless internal tool development experience through the design and management of a scalable component library.

In Short

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop internal tools.
  • Design and manage a LitElement-based component library.
  • Integrate with internal backend services using REST, gRPC, etc.
  • Establish coding standards and documentation for cross-team adoption.
  • Optimize build pipelines for performance and testing.
  • Mentor engineers on best practices and conduct code reviews.
  • Profile and optimize rendering performance for internal tools.
  • Build CLI tools for scaffolding new internal apps.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to define API contracts.
  • This role is 100% remote, open to U.S. candidates.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in front-end development, 3+ years with web components.
  • Mastery of TypeScript and advanced type utilities.
  • Experience building internal tools/frameworks.
  • Knowledge of backend integration patterns.
  • Expertise in build tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills.
