Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Software Engineer will assess customer requirements to design scale tests that mimic customer environments and collaborate with various teams to address performance issues.

In Short

• Evaluate Red Hat OpenShift performance on public cloud and other platforms.
• Devise, execute and report on test plans for Red Hat OpenShift.
• Benchmark and analyze performance and system metrics of Red Hat OpenShift.
• Use open-source tools to monitor Red Hat OpenShift Platform behavior under load.
• Collaborate with product managers to prioritize testing needs.
• Interact with customers to understand their use of Red Hat OpenShift.
• Establish performance goals and devise plans to test and validate software.
• Collect and present data from performance tests to stakeholders.
• Devise methods for comparing performance data across versions.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with AWS and other cloud providers.
• Experience in developing and testing software in Python or Go.
• Linux Operating System administration and Bash scripting experience.
• Experience with large scale distributed systems design.
• Experience with CI/CD frameworks and tools.
• Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience with data retention and transformation.
• Experience with containerization technologies and Kubernetes.
