Patient Scheduling Associate - Remote

Overview

The Patient Scheduling Associate is responsible for indexing incoming faxes related to patient exams and insurance authorizations, ensuring accurate transfer of information into the Electronic Medical Record.

In Short

• Review and process a high volume of inbound faxes.
• Transfer patient information into the EMR accurately.
• Consult with the RAH team for order verification.
• Manage and escalate priority issues as necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Attend required training and meetings.
• Ensure patient rights are maintained.
• Perform special assignments to support scheduling practices.
• Complete RX processing for unscheduled patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer experience with a typing speed of at least 35 wpm.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
• Proven track record of accurate and efficient work.
