Remote Recertification Associate

Overview

This fully remote position is responsible for processing recertifications for participants in the Housing Choice Voucher Program, ensuring compliance with eligibility requirements and handling documentation in accordance with HUD regulations.

In Short

• Process recertification applications for housing assistance.
• Review participant income and household composition.
• Maintain accurate records in the database.
• Calculate rent adjustments based on income changes.
• Provide guidance to participants on the recertification process.
• Ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
• Monitor deadlines for recertifications.
• Collaborate with housing staff to resolve issues.
• Conduct activities to ensure nondiscrimination.
• Assist with quality control activities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• Experience in accounting or customer interfacing is a plus.
• Experience in affordable housing programs preferred.
• Knowledge of HUD regulations is a plus.
• Must obtain HCV/PH Certification within 45 days of hire.
• Strong computer skills required.
