Overview

As a Windows and VMware Administrator at Pythian, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, securing, and optimizing clients' Windows server environments and VMware infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, and performance.

In Short

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016, 2019 and later).
• Manage core Microsoft services like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Support VMware infrastructure including vSphere and ESXi hosts.
• Perform monthly patching across multiple servers.
• Implement security best practices and support vulnerability management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Windows and VMware environments.
• Collaborate on infrastructure planning and upgrades.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Provide technical support to clients.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration.
• Strong experience in Windows Server administration.
• Proficiency in VMware technologies.
• Experience in PowerShell scripting.
• Understanding of core networking concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience with cloud platforms is desirable.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
