Principal Cloud Architect - Professional Services - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Principal Cloud Architect at Pulumi to join our Professional Services team to be at the forefront of cloud innovation, working with the world's most forward-thinking organizations to transform their infrastructure practices. You'll have the opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, driving meaningful business outcomes for our clients while contributing to the broader cloud community.

In Short

• Lead cloud transformation projects for enterprise and digital-native clients.
• Design secure, scalable multi-cloud architectures and migration strategies.
• Build reusable components and frameworks while driving adoption of IaC best practices.
• Deliver high code quality and reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Mentor and guide architects and engineers through workshops and talks.
• Contribute to the continuous growth of professional services.
• Partner in pre-sales discussions and solution design.
• Manage multiple concurrent client projects.
• Demonstrate thought leadership through speaking and writing.
• Support business development efforts with technical insights.

Requirements

• 8+ years in professional services or client-facing technical roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience.
• 10+ years of cloud architecture and engineering experience.
• Deep expertise across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, Go, or C#.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance.
• Demonstrated thought leadership through open-source contributions.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
