Public Affairs Manager - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Public Affairs Manager to lead our policy and corporate engagement efforts in Spain. This critical role will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key corporate, government, and NGO stakeholders to advance our mission of fostering a more sustainable and equitable food system, with a specific focus on accelerating the protein transition and advocating for more ambitious action from supermarkets and government.

In Short

• Lead corporate and policy engagement efforts in Spain.
• Build relationships with food companies and policymakers.
• Monitor legislative developments related to sustainability.
• Develop strategies for increasing plant-based sales.
• Conduct research on public opinion and consumer trends.
• Collaborate with communications team for strategic plans.
• Represent ProVeg at national conferences and events.
• Organize stakeholder engagement initiatives.
• Identify funding opportunities for ProVeg International.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Political Science or related field.
• At least seven years of experience in public affairs or policy.
• Knowledge of Spanish policy-making structures.
• Track record of building relationships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into strategies.
• Self-motivated and collaborative team player.
• Willingness to travel for meetings and events.
