Overview

ProSidian seeks a Rail Rate Negotiations Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide services and support in the Government And Public Services Industry Sector focusing on Risk Management Solutions for clients such as the U.S. Department of Energy.

• Provide rail rate analysis support for the DOE.
• Negotiate rail shipping rates with commercial railroad carriers.
• Conduct rail cost modeling analyses.
• Prepare documentation for Surface Transportation Board proceedings.
• Support negotiations for radioactive material transport.
• Analyze rail freight costs and rate methodologies.
• Assist with settlement agreements with rail carriers.
• Present oral and written testimony during negotiations.
• Work with federal agencies on rail carrier concerns.
• Ensure compliance with federal requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, logistics, transportation, or engineering.
• 10+ years of experience analyzing rail shipping rates.
• Experience with federal agencies, especially DOE and DoD.
• Strong knowledge of Surface Transportation Board regulations.
• Experience in court and arbitration proceedings.
• Proficiency in developing variable cost models.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate favorable rail shipping rates.
• Understanding of rail carrier economics.
• Experience with radioactive materials transport.
