• ProSidian seeks a Mechanical Analyst - Engineering (DS114) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor at the Savannah River Site.
• Support Environmental Management Sector Clients and fulfill T&M requirements.
• Perform advanced engineering evaluations employing stress analysis and fluid mechanics principles.
• Applications involve hand computations and computer software including finite element analyses.
• Evaluate component structural responses due to various loads and events.
• Travel off-site to interface with vendors and other Engineering organizations.
• Work hours include various schedules such as 5/8s, 4/10s, and 9/80s.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of experience in design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
• Working knowledge of AUTOPIPE, ANSYS, ABAQUS, and similar codes.
• Knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as ASME VIII and API-579.
• Ability to perform field walk-downs of mechanical systems.
• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics, or BS with Professional Engineer registration.
• Must be eligible for Facility Access Authorization.
• May require completion of a Financial Disclosure Statement.
• Must qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Work conducted at or near Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC.
