Quality Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Quality Analyst collaborates with IT staff to identify issues within business and system requirements, create test plans, execute test cases, and report defects. This role is essential in ensuring that systems and software meet quality expectations as well as the needs of customers, both internal and external, in alignment with PLTW’s strategic objectives. Occasional travel required.

In Short

• Develop and execute test cases and scripts based on business and system requirements.
• Lead the documentation and maintenance of testing strategies and best practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with Business Analysts, UX Designers, and development resources.
• Identify, record, and track defects to resolution.
• Conduct various types of testing as needed.
• Document and communicate test results to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the successful implementation of defined solutions.
• Identify and recommend innovative methods within area of expertise.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of quality assurance policies and best practices.
• Customer-centric approach to interactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with issue tracking systems (i.e. JIRA, Confluence).
• Capability to work in a remote-first team environment.
• Experience in Agile Development.
• Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium.
• Software Testing or Quality Assurance Certification desired.
• Creative and critical thinking skills.
