Overview

The Remote IP Facility CCS Coder is responsible for coding various medical records for reimbursement and compliance with federal regulations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hospital policies.

In Short

• Codes inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ED records, and home health records.
• Ensures compliance with federal regulations and hospital policies.
• Maintains a high accuracy rate in coding.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in coding (HCS-D, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, CPC, RHIT/RHIA).
• 1-3 years of coding experience required.
• Proficient in computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Ability to research using internet and electronic resources.
• Must maintain continuing education requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple coding areas.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate.
