Overview

Pragmatike is hiring on behalf of a fast-scaling technology company building backend-heavy systems that power complex data workflows and automation at scale. The platform relies on reliable APIs, structured data storage, and intelligent extraction pipelines to support business-critical operations.

In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js.
• Build and optimize APIs and internal services.
• Own data architecture and persistence using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Develop and maintain scraping and data ingestion pipelines.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product, and operations.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to increase velocity and code quality.
• Debug production issues and improve system robustness over time.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Backend Engineering.
• Strong experience with Python and/or Node.js.
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience building APIs and backend services in production.
• Familiarity with scraping, automation, or data-heavy systems.
• Comfortable working independently with high ownership.
• Strong communication skills and startup mindset.
