Transmissions Director - Remote

Overview

The Transmissions Director will serve as the company’s subject matter expert in technical transmission analysis, regulatory and interconnection policy, and will advance interconnection and transmission related activities for renewable energy projects.

• Lead technical transmission analysis for renewable energy and battery storage.

• Research and report on utility/ISO transmission expansion.
• Monitor FERC Orders and transmission expansion plans.
• Work with the project development team to advance interconnection entitlements.
• Support regulatory and policy compliance for transmission projects.
• Develop execution plans for transmission-related activities.
• Engage with stakeholders on transmission resource planning.
• Analyze system congestion for development opportunities.
• Contribute to long-term operations and maintenance strategies.

Requirements

• Expertise in transmission analysis and regulatory policies.
• Experience with renewable energy project development.
• Strong understanding of FERC regulations.
• Ability to analyze and report on transmission expansion opportunities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in energy storage systems is a plus.
• Proficient in integrated resource planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership experience in project management is preferred.
