Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Remote

Overview

Polycam is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior QA Engineer to join the team and spearhead quality assurance efforts for frontend devices (Web, iOS/Android) and backend services. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of the hardware, software, and overall capture process through both manual and automated testing.

In Short

• Own and support the QA lifecycle for Polycam’s product suite.
• Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies and frameworks, with a specific focus on 3D image capture workflows.
• Develop test plans that assess image quality, 3D reconstruction accuracy, software functionality, and system stability.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define quality standards and align on requirements.
• Contribute to automated testing frameworks using tools such as BrowserStack.
• Execute detailed test cases and scripts that cover full product workflows.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tools like JIRA.
• Analyze test results and quality metrics, and share insights that drive continuous improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance in web and mobile.
• Deep knowledge of QA principles, manual and automated testing, and test design.
• Experience with black box, grey box, functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of at least one scripting language (JavaScript or TypeScript preferred).
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, agile environment.
