Group Financial Controller - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join Plum and play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall financial health and stability of the organisation.

In Short

• Ownership of the Group Financials.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls.
• Lead and develop a high-performing financial control team.
• Identify and assess financial risks.
• Manage the accounting system and streamline financial reporting.
• Oversee day to day finance operations and treasury management.
• Own the production of entity and consolidated monthly management packs.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Manage the month end financial control close process.
• Ensure effective communication within the finance team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in financial control.
• Solid grasp of internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• High attention to detail and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with different accounting systems.
• Comfort with ambiguity.
• Experience with regulatory returns is a plus.
• Previous experience in financial services is desirable.
