Business Analyst - Origination Team - Remote

Overview

The Origination team is the core team at Plata as the first touchpoint with a potential customer, we are responsible for onboarding and customer activation. We own the fully digital application funnel, with our scope running from the moment a customer first visits our website or installs the mobile app, all the way through to the point where they complete their first target action on their ordered product. We track and optimize three key metrics across the funnel: conversion to application, conversion to delivery, and conversion to target action with time-on-step as a cross-cutting signal, since we know that speed and conversion are tightly correlated.

In Short

• Collaborating with the Product Manager to define and document business requirements for the product development team
• Producing process flow diagrams, business requirement specifications, and supporting documentation for both business and engineering audiences
• Facilitating alignment across many cross-functional stakeholder teams involved in the origination process
• Supporting the preparation and launch of the Plata product in the Colombian market
• Participating in building and evolving the team's product development lifecycle standard — from hypothesis creation and validation through to feature development and scaling
• Training and onboarding team members into new processes and preparing internal manuals and instructions

Requirements

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst, ideally in fintech, banking, or consumer digital products
• Experience documenting end-to-end digital user journeys or onboarding flows
• Ability to write clear business requirements and translate them into structured process diagrams
• Strong cross-functional communication skills — you're comfortable working with product, engineering, compliance, and operations simultaneously
• B2 or higher English level; Spanish is a plus
