Overview

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing at Planet is a high impact executive leadership role responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for Planet’s core industries and segments that collectively reinforce a strong, differentiated company brand.

In Short

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance Planet’s brand visibility and drive customer acquisition across both enterprise B2B and government sectors.
• Oversee all marketing functions, including Growth/Digital Marketing, Content Creation, Product and Industry Marketing and Regional/Field Marketing.
• Position and message Planet’s Mission and Product vision to a global audience.
• Lead market research initiatives to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
• Manage the marketing budget for maximum ROI.
• Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
• Analyze campaign performance and leverage analytics to optimize marketing efforts.
• Plan and execute target account-based marketing strategies.
• Serve as a primary spokesperson for Planet’s brand at industry events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive marketing or go-to-market experience, with 8+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in campaign management, digital marketing, and brand strategy.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage data.
• Proven ability to think creatively and strategically.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
